2000 LeSabre
Hello to all, new member, but on our third LeSabre. Our '97 was rear ended and we are hoping to get another LeSabre. I've done some research and most (I think), say that as far as low maintenance, a 2000 would be the best deal. Any thoughts on that ?

Back to my inquiry, I would like to remove the black (torsion) bar under the hood that goes across from strut to strut and, hopefully install it on a Buick we are looking at. Or is this a waste of time. Thanks for the replies in advance.

I think it would be beneficial to transfer it, as long as it fits. It would add stability through curves and while cornering. Especially with a heavier car.

As far as what year is best will vary from person to person, but in my opinion if a particular body style is made for 7 years the last 2 to 3 years of that run would be the best one to go with, many problems that were found during the first years of production are fixed in the later years of production. I would prefer an 03-05 personally. The issue with the upper intake I'm pretty sure was addressed, and the transmission was revamped in or close to 03 to fix a common issue with one of the shafts in the transmission, a fairly expensive repair that would seemingly occur once the warranty ran out. I'm sure there where other minor flaws that have been addressed as well.
