What is a good replacement for the TPMS sensor ?
Brand and model number would help.
Thank you.

Background. The 2010 Lucerne came with 4 new tires. Autumn 2024.
Guess. Assume. That 4 new tires came with new TPMS. Just a guess though.

This winter the temperature went down to 3 degrees in morning. And right front sensor flashing/dead. Stayed dead while temperature was below freezing. Just the right front.

Today had right front sensor replaced. All works fine now.

The replaced dead sensor is a Scharder.

Unless it was noted on the receipt for tire replacement and TPMS are not commonly replaced at the same time. The life expectancy of the TPMS are +- 5-7 years and I would recommend doing all at the same time. If one goes out the others will follow at some point and this will save a additional shop trip.
