So today after dealing with continuous feeding my car antifreeze, and not having heat (although intermittently it'd work) in -25 degree weather (gotta love to hate Wisconsin), a buddy checked the hoses and immediately (what's I believe is to be) the tranny coolant line, smaller set of two lines running out the bottom passenger side of the radiator started pouring liquid. Within minutes of driving to Autozone the tranny started shifting funny. Within a few more blocks the tranny wouldn't shift until 6000-7000 rpms and then the engine was smoking. The car has 256,XXX miles on it (3800 series III) and the previous owner failed to do regular maintenance such as oil changes. I did the first change in 2 1/2 years after the car Sat on the side of the road for roughly 8 months. The local Buick dealership tried to replace the keys, but the chip wouldn't read. When I picked up the car (at my purchase price of $300) from the dealership, the headlights had no longer worked. They did before, and power was going to the fuse, the assembly, the plugs, and the switch, but the lights wouldn't work. I replaced the relays and fuses. No luck. Should I just give up on this car? Or what's anyone's opinion? I desperately need them..... Cuz I think it's a nice car... But is it worth the headache? Or should I just part it out?

I think at this point you have to fix the transmission line, drop the transmission pan and replace the filter and change the engine oil and filter. Then see how it runs.

It may or is a money pit, but it's a easy answer in if you find more wrong with the vehicle than right it may be time to move on. If possible find a similar one and use this as a possible donor vehicle to get any value from it, IMO.
