- 2006 Lucerne
So I recently bought a 2006 Lucerne with a 3.8L. The guy I bought it from said it had a newer transmission in it. Well I noticed the other day if I stepped on it when going from 3rd downshifting to 2nd it seemed hard /stiff but when it shifted from 2nd-3rd up shifting it shifted fine. Well today I was driving it back from work today and upshifting from 2nd-3rd the RPMS jumped to 4000 like it hit neutral but as soon as I left of the gas it shifted into 3rd not jerking or nothing. It did the same thing 2 times today any ideas ? Is there a re-learn process or am I SOL? I hope the transmission isn’t shot I can’t really afford a new one at this time
