Transmission Problems

Car will shudder and engine will not rev and sometimes die when shifting from Reverse to Drive after startup. Performs fine in Reverse and if foot is held on brake in Reverse and engine is revved, everything is fine when shifted to Drive and car will operate normally until shutdown. Brought to the dealer several times but no code and found nothing while still under warranty. Last trip to dealer it now "Needs a new transmission" and it is now "Not under warranty - $6500.00." Still using the car as is and drives fine after the revving in reverse trick. I think it is a solenoid or senser or similar. Anyone else have this problem?

When was the last dealer trip where they told you nothing was wrong? Generally, unless its been several years since you reported it, the issue is under warranty and they should cover it. Contact GM directly.
