2007 buick lucerne cxl v6
My 2007 Buick Lucerne CXL V6 speedometer started to get the jitters. Here is a live data graph of the VSS. The wheel hub speed sensors graphs are butter smooth. No code presents.

The VSS is #3 on the transmission which may be the problem with the sensor, connector or harness. Just something to check from the post.

VSS was replaced and problem still present. Do I have to do anything after VSS is replaced?

That is not NORMAL wear! Did you get any warranty from Ammco for the rebuild? Som Ting Wong with that rebuild!

That is what the mechanic said! Will go tomorrow to AAMCO they have 18 months 18K miles. I am over the 18months, but under 18k miles. (16k)

Hopefully AAMCO will stand behind the warranty, but a pan drop and filter inspection may have more unwanted details.

Keep us informed of the findings. Thanks

AAMCO says there is nothing wrong with the car, but it is hard shifting and the speedometer is jumpy.

AAMCO ofters 18 month 18k miles. It is under 18k miles, but over 18 months. They say its out of warranty.

I picked the car up. The transmission is butter smooth and the speedometer is no longer jumpy. Was it the VSS or they reset the transmission tables (did a transmission relearn?)

Do you have to do a transmission relearn when replacing VSS?
This is a transmission re-learn on a Ford. Which says it fixed the hard shifting.

If the battery was disconnected 30-60 minutes it should have cleared the PCM for the relearn, if the TAPS were cleared ask the shop.

They said nothing was done...not very transparent shop.

I took it to another transmission shop and $3200 later. It was rebuilt and zero issues not. It had broken parts and was touching the speed sensor. Most of his customers come from... AAMCO.
