You turn it, they make tools to assist

Use the right tool, buy a universal rear disk brake cube. Less than $10.

I have completed that step several ways, needle nose pliers, channel lock pliers, vise grips. They all worked for me, but a warning....you must be cautious using these items as not to ruin the rubber boot covering the caliper.
After doing several brake jobs I discovered the rear brake caliper tools as shown in above post, and several others. It's the better way to go. They aren't expensive and work well for me.
Homer Jay gives you good advice in the above photo.
Enjoy your day!

Most auto parts stores will rent this tool. If not, since it is unlikely you would use such a tool on a regular basis, Harbor Fright is a good option. I used this on a Dodge Journey and it worked perfectly. I will be doing a rear brake job on my 04 Lesabre this weekend using the same tool.

Buy the cube yes or just rent the kit if you're cheap like me. Youtube has a video of them doing it on a buick lesabre. I think rock auto has the cheapest prices?

Also be careful when removing the rear caliper bolts. I broke one and had to replace the whole caliper because I didn't want to deal with extracting it lol.
