I am putting a dashcam in my Envista. I purchased a wire harness that connects to the fuse panel but i haven't found a good spot to connect the ground. Does anyone know where a good spot is?

Any piece of metal on the body.

You may also find small studs in and around the fuse boxes and other components with a nut and different wires terminated there. Those are factory grounding locations.

Thanks for your reply. The cabin interior has a spray on sound deadener so there is no spot to ground to the chassis. Any idea where a ground stud would be? I haven't been able to locate one.

And DD is spot on with his info. I’d also look for adjacent small hole already in sheet metal and use maybe 6/32 screw, nut and washers. Must have good conductivity of coarse or use mounting screw for something already in place with sta-kon for either connection.

Thanks for the replies. There does not appear to be any grounding studs under the dash of the Envista. I have found one in the trunk area so I am run a wire to that spot.

I just finished hard wiring a camera and radar detector. The drivers end of the dashboard has a cover that you pry off to run wires down the A pillar to the fuse box. The sheet metal lying under that cover is where I did mine. I found a small metal screw and drilled a hole in the sheet metal, then attached the wire with a ring connector to the screw. It’s tidy, and clearly identifiable as the camera/radar ground. Just feel behind it so you don’t drill into anything and drill gently so you don’t plunge
the drill into anything after you go through.
