where is the heater bleand door in 1985 regal?

my 1985 regal 3.8 limited has no heat. i replaced the control panel (it was jammed). the blower motor works, it just blows cold air on cold or hot, the vent selector works (defrost, vent, heat, etc..) just all cold. the heater core is good, as i felt the hoses coming in and going out of it and they are both hot. i am thinking that the heater blend door is stuck in the vent/cold air position and wont switch over to hot when i move the dash lever from cold to hot. the cable is connected to the control panel.. but i dont know where the blend door is at the other end of the cable.... any help would be greatly appreciated...

not sure but you may have a vacuum activated valve on one of the heater hoses that lets in the hot water to the heater core ,this was the way back in the 70's just guessing they used it till the end of the RWD models.

it should be behind the instrument panel near the glove box
