where is the starting motor located on a 99 buick century?

Finding a starter motor is very easy. They all crank the engine by engaging the flywheel. That means the starter will always be at the parting line of the engine and transmission, on the side of one bank of cylinders on a V6 type engine. If you look, you should see it. You can also follow the + battery cable.
 
The starter is on the right (drivers) side of the car. It is on the radiator side of the engine and dificult to find if you don'r know where it is - it's tucked up in there pretty good.

It's not too bad to change - the two bolts go through the bottom of the starter - but don't forget to get a shim pack when you get the starter.
 
Remove the bolts from the motor mount that is right by it. and you can jack the motor up, It will make your life a LOT Better..
