Wipers stuck up.

I have a 98 century. Tonight I turned the wipers on and when I turned them off the wipers went to the home position then moved to straight up and down. Any help would be appreciated.

my 2000 does that once in a while also i move the tilt steering column up and down a few times and they go to normal not a real fix but somehow works for me

you jinxed me i just went out started the car up turn the wipers on and off where did they park upright lol turned back on high for a minute turned off back to normal

Just wondering if you guys figured out the problem with you wipers. I have the same problem with a 98 I just picked up I have a feeling its going to be a electrical nightmare. Sending unit for the gas gauge is bad having problems with the Windows.😡

Usually its a tab on the wiper motor that bends out of the way, causing the wipers to park up. Sometimes it could just be an electrical bug in the multifunction switch that may go away after a while
