Hardwire Radar Detector into rearview mirror

Hi all,

I was just wondering if anyone has hard wired their radar detector/ dash cam into the rear view mirror? I am just sick of using the cigarette lighter and having a cable hang down over my dash, I know most people hard wire it to a fuse but I would rather not have to take off the A pillar and try to hide the wire.

It seems fairly straightforward with http://www.mirrortap.com/mt2000.html#Micro

But I was wondering three things:

1) in order to access the wires going into...

TourX Options

I was looking around at the Opel/Vauxhall Country Tourer online, and it seemed a couple of options (if not more) did not make it over to the states, and I am having a hard time finding as to why (I may ask my salesman or send a email to Buick HQ).

1: Heads-up Display - The option does not bother me, but why could we not have it as an ?option? in the states?

2. Adaptive Drive - The GS has an adaptive drive option, but overseas the Country Tourer/TourX has adaptive drive as well called...

I've eliminated common issues. Does the unit under the hood need to be isolated from the body to prevent it being grounded? Appears it has it's own ground wire and the mounting bracket has grommets that would prevent it from touching the body(they are rotted out from age). Is it possible it needs to be isolated. Getting ready for cross country drive and have to have the cruise control! Thanks!!!

I installed these awhile back but had some LEDS go out in one so I ordered another set. The set came with the lens clouded white which I didn?t like so I had my buddy tint them and the chrome trim. It matches our grill pretty good. I?ll post pictures after I install them tomorrow.

Turbo Issues 2012 GS, 6 speed manual

Hey guys. I have been having issues with my car for about a year now. The problem is intermittent lack of power. Every time the check engine light comes on, it?s the generic turbo waste gate solenoid code. I?ve replaced the solenoid - the problem persists. I?ve replaced the ECM - the problem persists. I?m going to replace the wires next even though the circuits test okay.

Has anyone had this problem and found a solution??
Review So Far

Hi everyone, I go by Forewind, and I wanted to post a review so far of the Buick Regal TourX (essence, many options).

-Handles well for not having a sport button that tightens up the suspension, and I am coming from a E70 BMW X5 50i w/adaptive suspension. If I am comparing the X5 vs the TourX, I would say the TourX handles like my X5 did without the suspension firmed up by hitting the adaptive button, but less floaty and not as easily pushed around by cross-winds. The tires on the TourX do...

My 13 GS was in for a minor repair and the dealership had just received its first GS. I had a complete look at the exterior and the interior but I did not drive it. In short- a very nice car but I was not wowed!
I remember the very first time I saw a 2011 Regal and I stopped dead in my tracks. It was one of the most beautiful sedans I had seen. I still love the design of my GS and while the new one has definite improvements-especially in terms of space- I just don?t care as much for the...

20,000-mile update - Buick Verano Review
by invalid@example.com (Skylarkin')
21 May 2018 at 1:55am
I passed 20,000 miles last night, so it is time for an update.

Exterior ? I regard Verano as the 21st century version of the ?61-?63 Buick Special. My car still looks great on the outside (Dark Sapphire Blue) unless you put your nose near the paint, particularly on the hood and at the windshield. While the car hasn?t seen more than an inch or two of snow since I bought it, the chips in the paint and glass are the worst (no surprise) between November and March here. Fortunately, I had...

Just like Mrs Fletcher who fell and couldn?t get up... help may be on the way for those of us who DETEST start/stop nonsense. A report in this mornings Providence Journal about the 2019 Envision said that a button is being added to shut it off. Let?s hope the Regal gets this button!!

I cannot delete name tags associated with pairing a phone.
I have gone thru and deleted all name tags and paired phones. When I go to pair another phone and it asks me for the name and I say Mary (or whatever) it responds with "I'm sorry, that sounds too much like Mary"
Listing paired phone says "No paired phones"
What can I do???
Thanks,'
