Just curious who has the trunk pass through. I've noticed several marketing photos showing trunk pass throughs but my 2011 doesn't have it. Is the omission a Canadian thing?

2010 has a small one in the middle

My 2011 CXS has it.

But I use the larger pass through.😀

Depends on what you call a "pass through"

My 2011 has fold-down rear seats so that you could place an e.g., bicycle there. My '03 Cadillac CTS has what I call a pass through that is about the size of the CXS pull-down arm rest that would allow (and I use it frequently for this) a 2x4x10 or the handle of a shovel. Some other '03 CTSs have the fold-down rear seats. I think that it depends on the options chosen for the CTS. Not sure about the CXS.

Not a Canadia model, Bought in VA, Live in MD.

GM calls the little door behind the rear arm rest a pass through. I'm not referring to fold down seats.
Oops. I stand corrected. My CXS has both the fold down seats and the pass-through.

My 2010 has it. I actually had to go outside and look - I don't think I've ever used it in a year an a half. More important for me is the ability to fold the seats down, which I can do. I can see it being useful for skiers or people who have to carry long thin objects around, as long as they don't carry too many. It's a pretty small opening.

Interesting. There seems to be no rhyme or reason as to which cars get it and which ones don't. Before I decided on the car I went through all the option lists on the web site and never found any reference to it other than photos. I guess it's luck of the draw if you get one or not.

My 2012 has "total" pass through....both rear seats fold down.

My 2011 Lacrosse has a trunk with a mind of its own - and it is open to others.

Sorry for the lateness of my post. Haven't visited in a while. Just so you know Garry, my 2011 CXL AWD has both folding seats and the pass through. Doesn't seem to be all that useful though.

Hey Kirk, haven't heard from you for awhile. I thought maybe you were still working on getting that old garage buttoned up for winter.😉 😀

It really makes no difference to me if its there or not. Most of the GM marketing material shows the pass through so I was just wondering how many were out there like mine. I didn't know if it was a Canadian thing, or a 2011 thing or what. The AWD I test drove didn't have it either.

I suppose it depends on how far behind the rear seat assembly guy gets. They can likely save a little time by omitting a few pass throughs until they get caught up. 😀

Actually, I just finished doing the rear brakes in my garage on my 98 Tahoe. Barely fits lol! Had it tied up (the garage) for the better part of two weeks trying to get at the job. Hard for me, I work nights. But tonight I swept it out and it's snowing now so I can park the Buick inside thank God.

Trust me, you wouldn't miss it. If anything it's just another potential source of noise. 😉

I am also showing that the rear center armrest comes with 2 integral cup holders and rear seat pass-through and is standard on the 2011 LaCrosse. Please feel free to contact me directly for more information. Thank you.
