LED Interior Lights

Looks good. It appears you didn't do the puddle and footwell lamps or does it just photograph that way?

Looks nice and bright cool. Where did you get them from? Do you have a part number for them?

I bought them off of eBay and will have to look up the part number. I know that each "bulb" has 12 LEDs, and they can be bought from a regular car part store for about 3x the price I got them. I'll look it up and let you know.

Thanks. The stock interior lighting kinda sucks.

The seller on eBay is "Fyre Flys". When I bought them it was a pack of six. Seems he is only selling them in packs of two now. If you are having trouble finding the eBay store, just type "Buick Lacrosse dome LEDs ", and it should show. They also sell foot well, plate lights and reverse lights if you are looking to do the full conversion. The bulbs are called "12 SMD LED Dome/Map lights". I believe the ones I got are super white. The listing may say cool white but check the description to see if they are super white. Installation was easy. You get everything you need and they have worked perfectly so far. Every one that comes into the car loves them.

Thanks for the recommendation Chef, I just did the same upgrade. The seller, 'fireflys' does in fact still do multi-packages. He had an 8-pack available and I asked him if he would do a 9-pack for me as I wanted to do the trunk as well. I offered to take only the wedge connector option (he otherwise packages 3 different connectors with leach LED) in exchange for the extra light. He agreed. Just finished installing them and they look great! The trunk one has the biggest impact... just totally lights up the entire trunk. Total price was USD $49, shipping to Canada included. The link is below.

I replaced the 6 dome light bulbs (3 in the front, 3 in the back), the 2 above the driver's and passenger's feet and the trunk light.

I would to see a pic of the foot wells and trunk if you could post it.

Sure, I'll take pics. Not sure if the camera will do it justice, but we'll see! The foot wells are also REALLY well lit now! Maybe a little TOO well! I didn't know it was that dirty down there!

I am interested in the upgrade lighting you mentioned, but need to know if the bulbs are just remove and replace or is it a little more complicated.

It's pretty simple actually. The LED lights come with a small wedge adapter which looks like the base of the light bulb. You remove the bulb and insert the wedge adapter in the bulb's place. There is a wire which connects the wedge adapter to the LED light.. you tuck that in behind the LED and stick the LED to whereever it'll stick (it has an adhesive back). Watch the video below. If that doesn't work for you, go to the ebay ad I noted before and scroll down - the video is there too.

Just took a bunch of pics and as I suspected, the camera didn't do it justice. I suspect it's because the light is bright so the camera thinks its shooting in the daytime and not at night and it takes a darker picture.

In any case, take my word for it, the foot wells and the trunk are just ridiculously well lit with these LEDs. The only point to be aware of is that the light holder GM used for the foot wells and the trunk is designed in such a way as not to allow the LED light to be placed inside, so I just tacked the LED light to the outside of the housing with the provided double-sided tape. Worked well.

When you tacked the lights to the foot well and trunk did you have to leave the lens off?

Manually adjust the ISO to either 200. 400 or 800. See if that helps.

Nope, left the lens on. I initially took the whole assembly out (released the connector using a flat blade screwdriver) , removed the bulb, inserted the adapter and ran the wires outside the lens and tacked it to the lens using the double-sided tape. Worked like a charm with the added bonus of even brighter light.

I just got a new camera yesterday so I went to take some new pics. Still haven't mastered the shooting modes but I believe the pics I just took are good enough to demonstrate the brightness of the LEDs. These were taken in darkness with the flash off.
