Anyone know if those can be installed on the Turbos? The 19" wheels seem to have plenty of room.

No, the stock 19's that come on the CXL Turbos. See my sig pic

The hub is different on the GS. Not plug and play without replacing the whole front hub. It is possible though.

Hmm, sounds more expensive than I thought. Maybe I'll just get a nice pair of slotted rotors. Any suggestions?

I like these...amazon has them, summit too. Slightly over $200 for the pair. Made for the new regal.

Check out r1concepts.com, they have superior customer service, and stand behind their product. I've found making a phone call actually improves the price, they'll usually offer you a package deal which beats their internet price.

Not happening. Their website lists up to 2004 for the Regal.

Their website is usually not updated, I called for inquires regarding my RT at the time, and they did have the latest product line available.

As Laloggia says there are differences. The hub is actually the same but the steering knuckle to which the calipers mount are different. The diagram below shows the steering knucle for the GS (#10) and the non-GS models (#5).

Egads, definitely more work and expense than it's worth then. 😡

Let me check out these rotor recommendations.

It doesn't seem to be off that much.
I do have a spare set of CTS-V calipers which should pretty much be the same as the OE brembos on the GS.

Maybe one night I'll take the wheel and caliper off my turbo and see how close it is.

I could not find pricing on the GS brake discs though.
Don't know if aftermarket GS discs are available, and if they are the same as the Camaro/Corvette z06/g8 gxp Brembo discs as far as off set goes (on the disc)?? Anyone have the specs on the GS's OEM brake disc??
The hub is 66.9 on the camaro/G8 and other brembo equiped platforms. Meaning a 67mm wheel hub bore fitment (has to have a bit of room).
The hub is ok as far as the 14" camaro discs go, and the disc are very shallow (to allow room for the caliper on the inside). Again, I don't know the GS disc size so I don't know how close the fitment is.

The Regal has 50 or so miles on it today, so I might as well tear the brakes apart. 😀

well the whole knuckle would be different because the gs has the hiperstrut and the others dont, so it would make sense that everything mounting to the brakes would be different...that said, who knows if the brembos would fit directly on, even with the differnt wheels and everything

There you go, if it ain't broke, fix it anyway! :headbang:

Welcome to the forum.

Thanks.

I actually lied, I noticed it only had 41 miles when I went to lunch today.
I'm in no hurry and I got some other projects to attend to on my free time so it might be a while before I look at what the mounting difference is.

The mounting depth on the GS looks to be deeper, but visually looking at it the bolt spacing and caliper mounting angle seems to be about the same.

Also Saab and opel (VXR) have some nasty brakes on them, and they use the non-hyperstrut knuckle. Maybe that brake setup will be easier to install?
