Hello to all - this is my first post here. I bought my Lacrosse new last October, and I really do enjoy the drive and ride (smooth, quiet, gas-mileage, etc...), however, there is one thing that may bring me to getting rid of it - the driver's seat is horribly uncomfortable for me. I'm not an overly large man by any means, 6'1" & 190#, but my left butt cheek feels like it is sitting on an iron rod. After 15-20 minutes it HURTS!!!

My other vehicles are a 2010 RAM Laramie and a 2012 Dodge Challenger YellowJacket. The seats in these fit me like a dream. I do really like this Lacrosse, but I just don't know what to do. Are there any aftermarket seats that would fit? Just trying to figure out my options before I go ahead and sell this and lose many thousands of dollars on a 1-yr-old car. Any thoughts or ideas would be well appreciated, thanks.

Why not take it to a shop and just redo the seats.

It sounds like something is not right with that seat. I'd let the dealer look at it before I spent any money on it. Have you tried the passenger seat? They should be pretty much the same as far as upholstery goes.

I took my car into a trim shop and had them change the foam on the drivers seat.
The guy who did the work told me GM uses the cheapest foam fillers it can get.
Then showed me the difference between what we have and what's available.
Once the job was done, I could actually feel a butt pocket that was ergonomically correct....the difference was like night and day.

And it was the most economical fix to make.
Getting new car was just silly.
Buying new seats...why bother, when your GM seat only needs better foam.

And a REAL butt pocket designed in.
Remember...everything on the car was the lowest bid Buick could get from a vendor, NOT the highest quality.

And yes, the seat heater and the ventilation fan work perfectly.
Now a two hour trip leaves my backside pain free.

What'd that set you back phil? I find my seat fairly uncomfortable after about an hour as well.

It cost me $200.
And about 2 1/2 hours of my time watching in amazement.

So am I searching for a custom interior shop? Body shop?

I already had my driver seat leather replaced (just the seating surface) because it was very loose At the same time my rear felt like it was perched over a funnel shaped hole.

Might be a good way to go. Appreciate the idea, got any good yelp search terms?

I had the seat in my 1993 Grand Prix completely rebuilt. The guy who owned it before me must have weighed 400 lbs because the foam was crushed flat

NOTE: A word of advice -- have this done during the summer during a nice hot day. DO NOT DRIVE with the windows up until the glue smell airs out. You will never feel that high in your life if you drive around with the windows shut and those fumes. Letting the car back in the sun with the windows open is the only way to get those fumes out.

I me having having same problem. When I test drove the car I didn’t notice it. After sitting in the drivers seat for about an hour, I started to feel like I was sitting on two rocks. It’s a used car but in very good condition, looked like it was new and very well taken care of. I haven’t complained to the salesman or the dealership I bought it from because I feel embarrassed and stupid cuz why didn’t I notice it during the test drive. I thought the same thing that I probably wasn’t gonna get any results from the dealership, just the run around with some lame excuse. So I’ll probamoy just take it to an upholstery shop and have them add more foam to make it comfortable to sit on. Thx for your post!

You have a 2018 Enclave listed and this was a post on a Lacrosse which are completely different vehicles, unless you have a Lacrosse.
