Plastidip: 19" OEM rims

It should hold up pretty well, many people do plasti dip for that reason, winter protection.

I just tried the dupli-color black chrome kit, i went though 2 of the kits and still think i need another kit lol. My wheels have a more bluish black chrome tint to them, however i think that it might be due to not having the right clear, i work for a dealership so i am going to swing over to the body shop and see if i cant get some clear thrown on them.

Dude I 100% agree with u , everything on my.car is badged.as a opel from wheel caps to rear badges door sills .. and theres no other car on the road like mine

Im still gonna get rid of it like you said but I wanna.enjoy it until than ..

YOUR IN NJ?! Holy.shit lol .. dude how you think the plasti dip will hold up in winter?

winter ?? what's that ?? LOL my baby is garage kept in a heated garage along with all of my detailing supplies, a couch, TV, fridge with beer and BEARS all over place haha if it's bad weather I'll just drive the other buick I bought (Encore lol)

I love the look on those 20s  .. if I didn't live in pothole central Jersey I would have picked those up instead lol I'm about 90% sure I already have a tiny bend in my back right rim which is why I keep my tire pressure at 42 haha that 35 ish is for the birds where I live 😱 you car looks great though :icon:

TC400, looks great!

I just got 4 cans of matte black in, I bought a set of BMW X6 rims I will be dipping this week (have Blizzaks on them, won't be putting them on until November).

How does everyone remove their lugs? I've got an airwrench but I fear scratching up the nice lugs that came on the car.

yeah my garage is my getaway LOL I just got back from PA with my lady for our anniversary and the car was filthy .. what did I do yesterday ?? washed my car outside in the rain during a "tornado" warning LOL I couldn't stand the idea of the dirty sitting on here that long haha as far as detailing supplies go, I pretty much have everything someone could ever need .. I used to be HEAVY into machine polishing because my last car was a bright red G35 coupe and that Jap paint would swirl just by LOOKING at it lol ended up investing in paint thickness gauges, tons of the softest towels I could find and special lights to find the imperfections haha where in Jersey are you at by the way ?? this weather lately has been crazy ha

that garage sounds like a detailers paradise lmao having so many things at your expense will make your car better than showroom condition

Im in Union/Middlesex county depending on what day of the week it is lol and this weather is i dont even have an opinion because by the time i begin to form one , the weather changes to something completely different for good or bad .. but as for the current weathers condition.. its so nice out today but in the next couple of weeks im going to be doing a final winter detail probably right after i plasti dip my wheels , just hope thee winter doesnt demolish the quality of the rims when there spray painted

I'm in Bergen County but originally from Hudson lol moved to Bergen JUST INCASE I decided to become a cop, so I would work in a much better paying area 😉 this weather doesn't really effect my car too much as it's garage kept and doesn't see the bad weather often lol if I was you, I would get the plastidip done ASAP .. these cans get weird when the temp drops .. the sprayers clog more and the texture doesn't come out nearly as smooth .. as with most detailing products also, they react crazy to temp swings .. even though my garage is heated, I don't put enough heat in there during the winter when I'm not down there to warrant it "cozy" so I end up having to move my waxes, polishes and any chemical that separates upstairs to stay warm lol the best part about my garage though is the flooring is porous (on purpose) .. I decided not to coat the floor just yet with epoxy because water spilled doesn't pool up and requiring cleaning 😎 so during the winter I can clean my car INSIDE the garage with a rinseless washing system :headbang: I haven't even machine polished the Buick yet to be honest because I didn't really see many imperfections or swirls to begin with .. some are there NOW but nothing that can't wait until Spring lol

thats actually a great great idea with the floors you can pretty much hose down the car and take a wide broom and just shove the water out of the garage and whatever's left is nothing serious.. very smart
I really do have to plasti dip these wheels im trying to do everything accordingly so i have entertaining projects to do on my days off from work but by halloween ill have them done (i hope) the spray nozzles are like my tire shine cans .. if i use the foam ones which im not a big fan of to begin with , the foam bunches up on the nozzle and than when im done spraying i have a small amount on the nozzle that i either wipe onto the tire or on a rag or usually begins to lose its foam shape and drip onto the can

one thing about this paint is its very good i cant really see swirls or imperfections except when i have some dirt on the paint but on white its hard to see

I loosened them with some tool first I forget the name at the moment then I let the air gun take over so it doesn't scuff them. You should be good with 2-3 cans. It took me only 2 cans. But it's nice to have the extra ones around. Thanks for the feedback!

ill be plasti dipping my wheels sunday night

voila can you take a side picture of your car i need a picture of a side view of how the brembos look and how it sits .. with a different color painted rim

my brembos are blue but although i know the 20s would look sick with black rims.. im just hoping the 19s would too

guess ill have to lower this car next

this is the closest I have to the wheel on a side view .. just had laser surgery on my eyes today so I won't be able to go to the car for a new picture for a little .. if you zoom in you can see the front Brembos pretty good .. hope it helps my man and I'm excited for you to jump into your dipping project !! lol

the brakes and wheels pretty much are spot on .. so needless to say there's no much of a color difference at all lol if you need a copy of the picture emailed or texted to you to zoom in just let me know in PM and I'll help you best I can

im just worried that i wont how the car looks with the 19s.. the 20s the car look great but the 19s idk really..i do have my calipers painted the corvette zr1 blue so that'll pop and im going with a darker black since im using 2 different black sprays

guess well see how it looks .. but once its lowered everything will come together..

Maybe it's just me but painting Brembo's is like yellow toe-nail polish on a black panther 😱. Why why why....would you defecate on nature's perfection?
