Anybody else had to replace theirs?

Started noticing pink drops of fluid on the garage floor. Didn't realize the coolant was pink.

Service guy said they have replaced quite a few on the LaCrosse.

Ours is a 2011 CXS.

My 2011 is only at 19k miles. No water pump problems but did have an oil seal leak at about 14.7k.

I just had my water pump replaced on the 2010 CSX at 62k miles. I noticed the fan running after the car was turned off, but didn't know that the coolant was low because no warning lights showed on the dash. The coolant leak aslo caused the AC to stop blowing out cold air.

Twice now, but several months apart, I have found a moderate puddle of an oily, pink fluid on the garage floor just inside the passenger side front tire. By moderate, I mean six to twelve inches across. But it has only appeared twice thus far. In checking the fluids, I have found the power steering fluid (which is actually automatic transmission fluid) to be low—below the add mark. I also notice that the antifreeze in the bottle is down to the drain hole. Both of these were checked after a 20 minute drive on a 35 degree F day.

Since I have a 2010 that is just reaching four years old and 62,000 miles, I probably should have it checked at the dealership. Any similar experiences or thoughts?

First, 20 years ago power steering fluid and trans fluid were pretty much the same deal, not now. GM fluid is now a gold/brown color so people would quit assuming they could still use ATF. I'm surprised you haven't developed a whine yet. Secondly the water pump will leak in the same area on an inconstant basis some times. You should have the system pressure checked, the fluid is going somewhere. I have seen the water pumps go from as early as 15k to as late as 100+k.

Just had water pump failure at 55k. This is a 2011 CXL. Otherwise no problem. I do love driving this car compared to our 2000 LaSabre !!
