I finally installed the Injen inakte on my 2014. It took about 45 minutes and was by far the easiest CAI I've installed. And yes I know the engine bay is filthy.

looks good did it make a performance difference? can I assume your running a tune also?

It's only been a day but I can tell it's addes some power. It is certainly a lot louder when it spools/purges. I am not running a tune yet.

I installed a ZZP on my GS on Friday. It was a bit more difficult because the turbo is behind the engine and getting to that clamp is a pain. I like it and yes the turbo is louder and you hear the waste gate open and close. I also noticed more power as well.

Who'd you end up picking that up from? looking at doing this myself but haven't been able to find one that fits my 2014 Regal GS

I ordered it from Amazon, they had the best price at the time and with Prime I had it in 2 days. You want Part# SP7033BLK.

where did you get the Injen air intake. I have a 2013 GS and would love to add this to my Trifecta tune. I cant find these online anywhere. thank you in advance

Pretty sure there wouldn't be a power increase unless you're tuned as the computer senses more air so it turns the boost down. IIRC they call it learn-down or something to that effect. With a tune it disables that.

Definitely an easier install on a 2014+ though. 2012/13 is more of a whore with the turbo being at the back lol

Makes sense. I have the teifecta tune now but I don't think they will retune my car without my paying again. So I might just wait till I can pay for the tune upgrade since I only bought the basic trifecta tune. No point in buying the Cai yet. But how do you like the injen intake vs other brands.

It's been great so far. It provides a noticeable power increase and you can definetely hear the turbo more now.

We found that the Injen intake was actually well made. It doesn't skew fuel trims like other intakes for other platforms. You can install it and it will compliment a TRIFECTA calibration just fine. You can also choose to use your data logging feature, if you have an Elite package, to send us a log and see if we can add a bit more performance to the programming 🙂
