2017 LaCrosse. Has anyone test driven it?

Nope, at first look, I thought they were fuses. I took one out and went to Wally World and a few auto parts stores and no one had anything close.
I know what cha mean about no bulb info on the 2017s...I got a notice from Amazon stating the puddle lights won't fit my 2017 LaCrosse. 😀

I'm not surprised that Wal-Mart or local auto part stores wouldn't have the bulbs. superbrightleds.com would be the best bet for finding special bulbs for the vanity mirrors. Yea I got the same thing when I ordered mine. The shape just looked so similar to the ones I had in my Regal that I figured it was worth a shot to order them anyway.

I'm also going to test drive a Genesis G80 which I heard has a pretty refined ride as well, not much cabin noise, but the interior (including the seats) are better than the Lacrosse. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Your best bet is going to be test driving them both and picking which one you like better. However, if your looking at the LaCrosse for it's comfort I don't think it would make sense to put 18" wheels on a premium model with the hiper strut suspension as it firms up the suspension quite a bit and goes against what you are looking for.

superbrightleds.com had all the LEDs I needed when I changed the OEM lights on my 2010 Dodge Ram but I couldn't find a single one that fit a 2017 Buick LaCrosse. They don't even have 2017 as an option yet and I don't know if any earlier year models have the same lights. If you find another source, please let me know.

Yea, they don't have the bulb guide up for 2017 models yet. Right now you have to know the bulb type to buy from there or anywhere for that matter. Once the bulb guide gets updated it should become a lot easier. I started doing some research on the tail light bulbs as they are listed in the owners manual. I will keep you updated when I finally do make an order.

New to forum, just purchased 17 Lacrosse. Great car, very comfortable. I have the 20" wheels, did not test drive the 18", no opinion of 18 vs 20. The 20" are painted silver, thinking of doing an exchange for either chrome or black. Anyone try this. I am thinking the black may not work on this car . Also already replaced the trunk light and puddle lights with LED's.

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on the new LaCrosse! What color and packages did you go for?

I also have the 20" wheels and never bothered test driving the 18's as I didn't care for the look of them. Are you looking to get the wheels that came with the car chromed or painted black or looking for something else different? Black might work if you blacked out the chrome trim on the car to match, otherwise chrome would probably look the best on a car like this. I quite like the graphite color the wheels are from the factory.

What did you go with for your puddle lights? A link to the LED bulb you used for the trunk light would be much appreciated! 😉

I have a premium with all packages. MSRP just north of 50. Too much but what ever , my retirement gift ! Detroit tire and wheel offers new OEM 20 " Lacrosse wheel in chrome or black chrome. The price they quote on eBay is an exchange price. Check it out. The bulbs I used are from a previous GM which I had . Go to Amazon and search 12 V LED. ( 194 LED ,Yorkim T10 ).

Very nice I have everything except AWD. I have looked into Detroit Tire and Wheel in the past, looks like they do a really nice job. I've always liked the black chrome finish they offer but without pictures of the wheels on an actual LaCrosse it's hard to visualize exactly what would look better. Thankfully I'm happy with the finish of the wheels as they come haha.

I'll add that bulb to my list. Thanks! Are you planning on swapping out any of the other incandescent bulbs for LEDs as well?

Just took delivery on my 2017 Lacrosse with everything except AWD.Love the car I also have the 20" and ride is still good. I love the look of the 20s with the rims.
I am disappointed this car does not have its own apps like Pandora you think with all of its tec stuff they would have that. You have to connect your phone with USB cable to mirror on the screen you cannot do it with Bluetooth either. Almost all the cars have apps built in and you use your phones data plan to connect. I guess you can't have everything.

I believe this is because of the limitations of bluetooth, to stream content and the visuals from the cell phone screen in realtime to the car would exceed bluetooth's bandwidth limitations.

According to this site, it's likely a power requirement(?)...

Thanks for the info. I just thought other cars have the apps built in...Again nothing wrong with the auto very fun to drive and looks great..

Apps and Android Auto are different things (although Android Auto is also available as an android app, to further confuse matters). Some cars come with 'apps' and some don't. It's really more a licensing and product placement thing than functionality thing, since as you're aware you can get the app functionality a different way. I know if I was a car maker, knowing as I do how quickly the tech industry moves/progresses, I wouldn't want one-off apps in my head units. My thinking would be that any streaming company could be obsolete in a days/weeks/months, or just fall out of favor and end up clutter on the screen.

Just my $0.02

I'm really wanting to try out and like the new Lacrosse. My hopes are high!
Looking to replace my Lucerne within the next year.

Regarding the Infotainment System (including navigation), does anyone have any links to messages or reviews discussing this?
I'm interested in functionality, features, map update process ... also compliments & complaints
Thanks!

I recently was in Paris and the majority of cars used by Uber drivers have stop/start engines, including the Opel that is the Buick Regal over here. Frankly, I found the stop/start extremely annoying, and was wondering just how noticeable it is in the LaCrosse. It was very noticeable in all the cars I drove in, and I drove in a lot of different ones. It is the one reason I might not buy a third Lacrosse (that and the fact that the rear end of the '17 LaCrosse looks like a Park Ave)

IMO, seamless operation. First car I ever had with this feature and it is not annoying,

The stop/start system in the new LaCrosse is very smooth and unnoticeable compared to previous systems. You really have to test drive the LaCrosse with this feature rather than basing it off of another car that has the system. They aren't all created equally. This stop/start system was developed from the ground up for this engine rather than being tacked onto an existing engine which helps make it more refined.

I test drove LaCrosse for 5 minutes before I realized it was start/stop. Now I own one!

Congrats! Great looking car! That color looks great and is a huge favorite in this area. (Roll Tide) The red was our first choice but we bought the white tri-color thinking it won't show dirt as much as a darker color.
Same here.. I couldn't tell it had the start stop when I test drove it.. now, after a couple thousand miles on the odometer, I still have to look at the tachometer to tell that it shut off.
