can somebody breakdown what i have to do to remove the front left (driver) fender? the bottom rusted so bad that it broke free from the bottom mounting now its just flapping around, plus everytime i open the door it pinches it a little. i plan on ordering a replacement painted to match my car and install it myself, but i have this lower plastic molding ground effect.

43 views and no reply? somebody must know

Not too many people will reply in this group.
why? lack of knowledge? or they dont care? either way maybe ill try another page.

i know a fender removal is not hard, i have removed fender from a foxbody Mustang many times but i have learned through the process easier ways of doing it. thats what a group page is for giving and sharing knowledge, seems pretty crummy if somebody believes they are too high and mighty to answer a question

i 100% agree

You both are way off.. some people just have no idea or enjoy browsing the questions. Better to give no advice then wrong advice IMO.

i do agree with you on that but after 90 views and 3 days i thought a seasoned body man would have chimed in with their experience and advice, but i guess not.

looks like im taking to a GM dealership :/

bump...

so it looks like i have to pull the wheel well lining, front bumper (to access the bolts on the front bracket), undo the bolts on top in engine bay, and the 1 inside the door jamb, and it should come off. sound about right?

it looks like the lower part is bolted on with phillips screws but since the fender rotted in half the fender will come off without taking those out. but i still need to get them out to reuse the holes.
any suggestions for getting them out? i have been spraying PB in there all day

What year Buick? I've replaced many on 95-98, send me a PM and we can talk. Kevin

so i have the fender removed and a new painted to match fender ordered. for anyone who wants to do this here is how i did it
1 remove wheel well lining. tire might be in the way but i was able to work around it
2 remove the nut and bolt securing the front bumper ends to fender
3 pull bumper end toward wheel well to unlock from pin hole
4 the fender is held in place with T30 torx bolts (stupidest idea) i had to cut the bolt sides parallel and used an adjustable wrench to remove ( 2 on bottom, 2 on front bracket, one in door jamb, 5 in engine bay, one nut and bolt holding bumper end to fender
5 pull doorside of fender out and slide back.

i didnt have to remove front bumper or the headlight once i get new hardware (actual bolts, what they should have done) and fender in mail hopefully it will go back in the same way

What an attitude!!!! Ever occur to you that like you, most of us are just car owners that have never done the specific repair you asked about? I've replaced a VW bug front fender and a 68 Mustang front fender. Would you prefer that I just BS'd ya and guessed how to do my '01 or your '02s fender? What most folks hate more than NO answer is a bunch of well-meaning jackoffs making guesses or telling you something useless like a detailed report on how they replaced a VW bug front fender and a 68 Mustang front fender ☺

Steven W you seem to complain an awful lot and expect a lot from a free site.

As mentioned earlier, most members here are not expert body, fender replacement experts. Thanks for the details and it looks like you made a lot progress and keep up the good work!

Hi. I saw you had responded to a guy whom had plastic fenfers and wanted to repsair. My dad has an 95 lasabre with the cracked plastic fenders. Do you repair like it was fiberglass with fiberglass mayerials? Thankyou Doug dbaliko@ hotmail.com

Thank you! I've been searching for a week now looking for videos etc. I can see everything you're saying to do and most certainly can figure it out from here. Again you're appreciated!

Does anyone know if there is a video or a link to show how to remove left front fender 2014 Buick LaCrosse thanks
