Seat belt stuck in door

Car is a 1996 Roadmaster SW.

Seat belt retractors are a bit sluggish. The front passenger door got shut with the seat belt stuck in door. Now the door won't open. Electric lock seems to suddenly not work on this door (was working fine until the seat belt event).

Any ideas for getting the door open?

Yes, I did try that. Problem solved now, thanks to advice of local mechanic. Got wife to pull up on outside handle while I laid on seat and kicked door. Popped right open. 😎

Thanks for the reply and good to here that you were able to open the door!!! Be sure to watch where that seat belt is located before you close the door in the future.
