So my ac was not working due to clutch not engaging. I checked low pressure and it seems to be full of frion. I tryed to add more and checked relay but nothing. I ended up replacing compressor and still nothing. When i unplug the ac compressor power cable my test light said no power when car turned on with full ac. What am i missing?

Just to make sure we're all on the same page.... This is how I fill the AC when the clutch is not engaging (because refrigerant is too low and not making enough pressure)

before starting the car, hook up the refrigerant hose with the bottle on it, but don't puncture the bottle yet.

Start the car, put fan on max and temp on the coldest, and AC on max.

Now puncture the bottle and back the needle out so it starts flowing.

Clutch should engage as soon as enough refrigerant flows in pressurize the system.

If all fuses and relays are OK..it could be a bad low pressure switch or a bad compressor.

Also make sure the connector to the AC is plugged in properly cause you never know.

The OP makes no mention if he checked the AC relay.

It has a brand new compressor and all relays are working fine. There is frion in the system and is holding just fine. The issue is more complex then basic ac

When you replaced the compressor, did you apply a vacuum to the system for at least 15 minutes before adding refrigerant. By the way, Freon is no longer used in cars beyond the 80's.

"Freon" was a patent name for R12 refrigerant by Dupont, but many still use that term for the R134-a replacement. Call the replacement whatever you like, but it is still just refrigerant.

I think it was on this forum I read someone installed a new AC compressor and it didn't work until he hotwired it directly to the battery to give it a sort of jump start. And it started. Then he preceded to re-connect it the normal way and it worked from then on.
