Buick Lucerne Mods

Looking forward to other changes and updates.

I'll be replacing the chrome grill with the black one. Im gonna paint the wheels black temporarily until i buy actual black rims. Also painting the brake calipers red and the fender vents black instead of chrome. Windows are getting tinted this week. I'll post pictures after everything i do.

On the brake calipers, the front are black already and the rears are just aluminium cast as a FYI, if not known already, so when painting them just be mindful of two different surfaces. I was lazy and just did the rears in black also lol.

Im also thinking since the 3800 series III came with a supercharger but they only put it in the pontiac grand prix, it'll probably fit in the lucerne. Bring the horsepower from a measly 200 all the up to 300+

So i tinted the windows and they look good. Also just finished painting rims. Not happy with the choice of black paint. VHT wheel paint is the worst. Ended up having to buy dupli color trim and bumper paint. Worked better. Im not happy how they came out but they're just temporary so no biggie i suppose. I'll post pics tomorrow

Not sure if consider debaging as part of the mods, but this is what it looks like as a option. My feeling was just too much useless stuff stuck on the car.

Here's how it looks so far. Wheels look eh but the tint is good. Next is debadging. Got the rear lower bumper coming in on Friday.

A lot of work in a short period of time, but it's looking like you're going to have a car you'll enjoy. Unfortunately the Lucerne isn't the easiest car to do because of very little, like none, in aftermarket parts LOL.

Yeah thats very true. I did find a good performance chip that may help increase up to 60 hp and 8 mpg so im gonna invest in that. A supercharger add on seems really costly tho so idk about that. Im thinking of painting the front fender vents black as well what do you think? Also heres a pic of her debadged. Shes a little dirty cuz i havent been able to wash her cuz the fresh paint and light tint but later this week she'll be nice and shiny and looking sexy. Also i believe the lucerne comes with the option of a spoiler. Might give it a nice look in the rear, opinion?

The factory spoiler looked like a glued on yard stick, nothing more than a bump on the trunk. On a white car the center section of the roof, especially that you don't have a roof antenna, could have black paint or vinyl wrap which may add to the style. On the bumper maybe the lower grille parts but that's all I would consider. The debage looks good and seeing how Buick decided to do it also it's a cheap update.
Google SEMA 2006 Lucerne and you can see a lot of ideas, good and bad lol.

I was for sure thinking of a black roof. It would look sleek as hell. As for as the lower grills, if you're talking about the front bumper slots/ "grills" i was thinking of updating the front bumper to that with the fog lights; I like that look.

Finding a CXS cover on your year style used will be a challenge, they pop up once in great while but checking regularly you can get one eventually. A new cover could be a expensive option, but the lower grille single trim part are outrageous over priced new.
