I am going to remove the Buick grill emblem from my 2018 TourX. I am looking for help in determining how it is secured, such as screwed from the back, glued in, etc. I realize everyone wants to show how smart they are, however PLEASE only answer if a.) you have actually removed one OR b.) you actually really know the answer. Sorry if I bruised any egos.

Not sure about the GS grille (and likewise about the ACC versions), but if you remove the top cover from between the grille & radiator (same cover you have to remove to install the SmartStopStart module) & take a look at the back of the emblem, there should be four tabs located around the circumference of the emblem (the top two should be visible, the other two you can feel for); just push a couple of tabs towards the centre of the badge while also pushing them towards the front of the car and the emblem should pop forward enough to get a grip as to then push the remaining tabs and off it comes.

When installed, it looks like this

Better shot of the tabs (with the badge removed)

Right on Bro, you the man. That is the type of direction that was requested. Was able to get it out even with ACC in the way. OF COURSE with the force of a five year old, the tips broke off. There are only 3 clips on newer model 2018 and they are a skimpier, and less sturdy design.IMG_20190903_084432909.webp
