2007 Buick LaCrosse CXL
Hello, I am the owner of a 2007 LaCrosse CXL and for the past 2 weeks I've been trying to find out what the cause of the noise is.

The car is well maintained and It has just rolled over 38,000 miles (Incredible right?). When I get on the highway, and reach highway speeds, it sounds like a soft whistle noise when I reach around 4500 RPM. It's just fine at lower speeds. I'm thinking it might have something to do with the throttle body but I inspected it and it was just fine!

If one of you has had or know anyone has had this issue before, please let me know so I can keep my sanity when getting on the freeway

You cannt duplicate the noise in Park with the hood open and someone else slowly raising the engine rpm?

I cannot, for some reason it has to be in drive. Which now brings me to the idea of an intake. I might be able to record the noise using one of my microphones if that would help.

Can't see how recording the sound will pinpoint the source.
No check engine light on?
No maintenance done to the car immediately prior to the noise starting?
