Battery Voltage Increases During Coasting

You may want to check on how they wire in the block heater as a option for installation and mounting location.

I wonder if our cars are equipped with active grille shutters.

Wishful thinking LOL! I'm sure someone could do a custom job copying the hideaway headlight covers that blend in with the grille on a 1969 Camaro.

Considering many models had it before, not that wishful thinking after all.

As long as we're dreaming...... Why not use one of the induction chargers, like the new cell phones. Maybe mount it in the corner of the windshield so you can just set a puck shaped device on the glass when you get out. 🏃 😁

In January I was in a car that used cameras to self park over a wireless charging module. The car needs to be aligned less than 10cm to get a decently efficient charge.

There’s a fuse! Under hood power distribution center.

Oh, the humanity. I’ll just have my porter deal with it!🙄

I be darn...
Should have remember to take a look at the owner's manual! 😅

Hmmm. There is a 10 amp fuse in the socket! Where are the aero shutters? Are we supposed to have them? I noticed a socket for headlamp washer but it‘s not populated with a fuse since we don’t have them. Why populate a socket for a device that’s non existent? Unless I just can’t see them.

My guess would be somewhere in the grille area. Maybe the lower half? (I don't have room to look because my vehicle that is parked inside the garage and it is a tight fit.)

I took off the top plastic trim piece and was able to look down inside. Quite spacious in there but didn't see anything that resembled shutters either on the top or bottom half.

I did notice a sensor at the bottom of the lower half that just sneaks under and behind the license plate frame. Don't know what that one is used for.

The only reason I'm looking at this point is to eliminate a possible source of noise that I have posted about in a different thread. Didn't notice any dangling connectors either.

I checked out the link you posted to get an idea of what to look for but couldn't see anything similar in my vehicle.

Then it is strange. Why do we have a fuse to nowhere. 🤔

Here's the description from the service manual...I still haven't seen anything that looks like active shutters on my car.

"Active Grille Air Shutter Description and Operation
The active grille air shutter actuator closes louvers at the front bumper to enhance vehicle aerodynamics in driving situations where cooling and A/C loads are relatively low and high levels of front end airflow are not required. If high levels of airflow are required the active grille air shutter actuator opens the louvers. The control signal from the heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) control module, ignition and ground circuits enable the active grille air shutter actuator to operate. If the conditions for opening the louvers are reached the HVAC control module commands the active grille air shutter actuator to open the louvers.

The single active grille air shutter system consists of an individual motor operated mechanism hinged behind the vehicle front grille for controlling the amount of air entering the engine compartment. It includes three wires, ground, power and pulse width modulated signal to the actuator. The HVAC control module determines shutter state based on various vehicle conditions such as vehicle speed, coolant temperature, fan state, refrigerant system pressure, A/C compressor state and ambient temperature. The pulsed signal controlling the shutter mechanism will be able to control the shutter to close/open positions.

The actuator is powered by an ignition circuit that is active when the key is in the RUN position. The vehicle may have to be driven for up to 13 minutes at speeds greater than 41 km/h (25 mph) before the shutter begins to move. If low ambient temperature is detected, the shutter will remain in the closed position."

Anybody have a pic of theirs? Still don’t see it behind the grille even looking from the top between the grille and condenser all the way to the bottom.
