Buick Ownership
2013 Buick Verano
Hello, this is my first post. I own a 2013 Buick Verano 2.4L. My check engine light recently came on. Car is running perfect with no issues other than the light. I took it to Autozone and I scanned it and it came up with P0097, P11C2, _2199, P0014. The print out they gave me said I should replace the Mass Air Flow Sensor so I bought a new one and installed it. I then cleared the code and the check engine light stayed off for about 2 days and now its back on. Again... no drivability issues at all. Car runs perfect. Online I read that possibly the Intake Air Temp Sensor 2 needs to be replaced but it appears on my engine that sensor doesn't exist because its part of the MAF that I already replaced. Any suggestions are appreciated!

Thanks . I read that post and it didn’t help because I am not sure that is my problem based on all the codes that came up. Also... the pics only showed my engine compartment. I already know where the MAF is because I changed it. I don’t see the other air temp sensor even listed and I can’t find where it is.

You would need to read the GM site information.

Sorry was reading the other post when looking at the part. You may be correct on not finding a additional sensor or the reference is for the turbo version if you pull up your vehicle on a GM site the airbox nothing appears.

That’s why I am stumped.

Did you perform the wiring harness tests as described for P0097?
I don't have an IAT2 sensor. Its incorporated into the MAF sensor which I had already replaced. Today... my wife called and told me the CEL turned off and has remained off all day. Fingers crossed it will stay off!

OK, so check engine light stayed off for about 3 days and then it shut off by itself and has been of for 2 weeks, I took the car to get the emissions checked and it passed. The next day the check engine light came on again. Same codes. Car still runs 100%. I have no idea what the problem is.
It is throwing codes P0097, P11C2, _2199, P0014. I replaced the mass air flow sensor and the car does NOT have a separate IAT2 sensor.

As a basic guideline on multiple codes starting with the lowest number P0014 which doesn't seem to relate to the others. P0097, P11C2, P2199, that seems to point back to the intake MAF sensor. Even though it's been replaced depending on the quality of the MAF there's been issues with aftermarket parts, also checking the harness and connection. No guarantee it is the problem but something to be mindful of.

Get rid of the P0014 code first and see what happens.
Replace the exhaust camshaft actuator.

I replaced one of them already. I know there are 2 of them right next to each other on the top of the engine passenger side. Which one is the Exhaust Camshaft actuator?

Thats the one I replaced already. I will try replacing it again.
