Hey everybody,

My OEM refurbished wheels just arrived and one of them has a gouge (see pictures below).

The company said it must have happened during shipping and offered me an exchange or a $50 partial refund to keep the wheel.

I would like to get my car back on the road as soon as possible, but I'm worried this will continue to spread or possibly rust? Will it affect the integrity of the wheel or the seal of the tire? If it's just cosmetic I may just take the partial refund.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Take the exchange as it's a problem that will get worse over time, if you live in the salt belt part of the country it will be more of issue.

Got it! Definetly doing the exchange in that case as the entire reason I bought these is my OEM chrome 7-spokes were corroded to the point of tire seal failure. Due to our northeast winters and lack of washing salt off from previous owner! Thanks so much.

If would be different if you caused it and looking to repair but seeing how it's the vendors error it easier for the long term. I also had the crappie chrome and replaced them just not to deal with it again.
