2015 Encore Heater Core Replacement - Need Help & Info

My daughter-in-law's Encore needs a heater core replacement. She is up in the Chicago area and I am planning a trip up there and have been looking all over for any information what it takes to replace the heater core. I have found picture and know that the core is behind a cover on the ac/heater blower module.

My question is do you have to remove the whole module from under the dash or can the core be replaced by removing the 7 screws that hold the cover and replace the core without complete disassembly of the dash?

Any help would be great - especially if someone has an Encore Service Manual and can possibly send me a pdf of the section pertaining to the heater core replacement.

Again, were you able to find anything about replacing the heater core without pulling the whole module from under the dash? I am sure hoping that it can be done without pulling it all apart. I really appreciate you looking into this for me!!!
