Hello I have a 2000 Buick lesabre and I’ve been wanting to do a muffler delete and put on a new aftermarket muffler I’ve been a lot of people buying and putting cherry bomb mufflers on the 3800 3.8L engines and I want to make mine sound nice does anyone know if any other mufflers that sound good that I could use on my car I do plan on getting an aggressive cam installed later on but for right now it’s just stock so if anyone can help with finding a good muffler for it that’d be great!

This company has a large selection of performance mufflers

The best solution would be to look under the ricers cars with the garbage can exhaust system that sound like 10 un-tuned chain saws @ WOT!. We don't need any more of that noise!

Or the guys that love to put straight through mufflers on late model muscle cars just so they can sound like gun shots as they let off the gas. Equally disturbing. 😉

It's a V6 so if looking for sound as there isn't going to be any performance gains, look at the aftermarket mufflers for the current V6's on the Camaro, Mustang and Challenger to at least narrow down the list. A baffled performance muffler, skip the straight through glass packs, bigger than stock size will have a deeper volume.

To clarify your post, muffler delete is the removal of the rear muffler unless you are referring to the resonator after the cat.

Totally agree with HotZ28 regarding the sound. A V8 with either glass packs or chambered mufflers like Flowmasters sounds "sexy" but the 3800 V6 does not. Just my two cents.
Put a straight pipe in place of the resonator and a either a Flowmaster 44 or a Thrush Welded muffler and you will get the sound that you want. 😎

Removing the resonator can create a drone check other 3.8L V6 forums prior to removal, just something to be mindful of before doing any modifications.

The reason clarification on what the OP is looking to do.

My personal opinion
I do not like the sound of the V6 engines with loud exhausts. Keep the car sound in normal
limits and it will make a better impression on others.
