This may have been posted on here before, but I'd like to share my troubles and eventual fix for my issues connecting to bluetooth.

I have a 2013 Buick Regal 2.4L E Assist that I just purchased used with 39000 miles on it. It had one previous owner with regular maintenence and no major issues on the Carfax.

After a couple of day with everything working just fine regarding bluetooth and Intellilink, I was having major issues with Intellilink getting stuck trying to connect to my phone (Samsung galaxy s7 edge).
The car would think that it was connected but wouldn't let me go to any bluetooth related options such as using the phone or listening to music. On the phone side the phone would think it was connected and wouldn't let me talk on the phone using that handset or wouldn't play music through the phones speakers. So basically both side appeared as if they were connected but were not working properly. This went on for two days. I tried rebooting my phone. Unpairing my phone. Deleting the phone from the car(which it wouldn't let me do, and doing a factory reset of options from the menu.

These are the steps that finally got it to work.

---After letting the car rest overnight---
-Unpaired phone from bluetooth and rebooted.
-Entered and turned on car without bluetooth turned on
-immediately went into phone settings and deleted the phone from the main menu
-repaired phone with the car

It is now working like it is supposed to without any issues.

I'm assuming that the whole ordeal was caused by being a new owner, unfamiliar with the sluggishness of Intellilink, and being too quick to try unpairing and deleting my phone while Intellilink was struggling with menu changes and bluetooth. Regardless, I hope that this will spark a disscusion about the issue and other (probably more correct) ways of fixing and working through these bluetooth issues. I doubt I'm alone with these early car operating system problems.

I have the older version, which doesn't even work using the intellilink menus etc. Easy, and much better anyway, press voice button on steering wheel and then just say "voice" and get passed to the google voice recognition. Once you hear a beep...say call whoever, find x, weather or whatever and it just works.

I have a used 2016 Verano and I have been trying for two weeks now to delete the prior phones paired to my Intellilink and nothing happens so I am unable to connect my phone with the Intellilink. This is an irritating problem because I cannot drive hands-free now.

1. Press the CONFIG button.
2. Select Phone Settings.
3. Select Device List.
4. Select the phone to delete and
follow the screen prompts.

Step 1 of what might need a couple of more steps to remedy. Let me know how things go.

We are trying to delete phones from the intellect system but it is not working. The old phones are still in the system

Did you try the steps listed on the post before yours? Or go through the owners manual?

I had to do this too, when I took ownership of my GS. Just go through it, take your time, and you'll figure it out. I had no idea what I was doing when I was trying to delete the old devices, just going through the menus.

Did they give you a remedy to fix this? I am having the same issues. Please email me a meathauler47834@gmail.com

It appears I'm having a similar issue. For some reason, Bluetooth is no longer available...its grayed out on the display. I was able to delete the previous owner's phone when I got my 2013 Verano, and add my phone, and it worked fine for months. My phone was showing "paired", but I wasn't not able to use my phone hands-free. I delete my car on paired devices on my phone, and now my Bluetooth can't find my car. Anyone know what could be wrong? And how to fix it?

Having same issue did you find a fix?

The CD, USB and Bluetooth Icons are not accessible. This just happened was working fine now they are not lit up to use

Has anyone here run into the issue of having your phone connected for calls and audio, the calls are perfect and voice controls work but when trying to play any media the only sounds you get are intermittent crackles and popping sounds?

I've been having the same issue for a month or so with my 2013 Encore and Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus Android. Unpaired, repair, cuss my frustration etc. It seems to be never ending. Today I came out to find I do not even have a p
Bluetooth icon on my screen...like at all. I even went to the Configuration settings and it doesn't even give me am options to pair a device for a phone. I am so tired of dealing with this I am almost to the point of trading it in for something that works.

So I just bought a 2011 Buick Regal and when I go to phone settings it just says “not unavailable”. Any ideas?

2013 Verano here with similar issues. Phone connected through Bluetooth fine, however, the Bluetooth button is grayed out & won’t play the music from my IPHONE 11. I deleted/reset everything prior to pairing.

This also just happened to me this week with me 2012 Verano. It connects to the car but the button is grayed out as well. When I plug in my phone through the USB cord it will charge and I can talk on the phone (both via Bluetooth and by USB) but I cannot click on either icons to listen to music/podcasts/audiobooks/etc.

I have a 2017 Regal that has intermittent issues with the display screen going blank and bluetooth disconnects. It will restore after a few minutes, and the radio continues to play. Bluetooth function will restore within a minute or two and if on a call, it remains connected but the caller and I cannot hear each other. this happens randomly, sometimes at 5-10 minute intervals, sometimes not for a few days. GRRRRR! Anyone else?

I ask because when iOS 14.5 came out, it caused my Intellilink system to keep rebooting itself when my phone was connected to bluetooth. Thankfully it was fixed in 14.5.1 a couple days later. It sounds like what you are experiencing now.

Funny you should mention the update, I did one on my phone a few days ago and it seems to have resolved the issue.
