I have a 2016 Buick Verano 50K with roughly 50,000 miles that makes a vibration/buzz type noise while the vehicle is off. Normally this noise is activated when electrical components are activated so it most cases the main cause is opening/closing doors, hood, or trunk in which the vibration will be activated within the minute and last for about 5 seconds. The noise will also be activated but locking or unlocking the vehicle (again activating the electrical components). If you perform one of the activating actions whole the vibration is already occurring, it will begin to make a click noise for near 5 seconds and then go back to the regular vibration for 5 seconds after if it is not interrupted again. No one seems to know what is causing this noise when I show them. My dad buys and sells cars and doesn't know what is causing this noise and I've never heard it from any other vehicles he's had until today in which it is a 2016 GMC Terrain that does it as well.

I have a 2017 Regal and it does the same thing since it was purchased without any negative consequences. Other than the noise do you have any issues with the car?

No I wouldn't say I do. I was having issues starting every once in a while and would have to jump the battery. It was the original battery which meant it has surprised the average expectancy for batteries so that's what I assumed is the issue and have purchased and installed a new battery as of yesterday. Hopefully it's not an issue with a parasitic draw and that vibration noise being in relation with it.
