Watered down engines and missing the practicality of the hatchback. I must say, however, that I wish Buick had kept the GS here with a few improvements and also had a TourX GS. If properly done, they would have significantly helped the brand in the US in my opinion.

Well GM gets to do beta testing on another group for a change.

Updated infotainment system? No shifter, probably a knob or button. wonder if exhaust is same

Well, sure am glad I have a TourX. Would this China news possibly augment parts for a US TourX?

Nice-looking car!

Looks like the same lever button thing as the invasion from the pictures.

I'm highly doubtful that there will be anything made by GM sold in the US market that I desire when it comes time for my next vehicle purchase.

Buick as a new vehicle choice is dead to me with their current uninspired North American SUV only lineup.

Cadillac still has some interesting things going on, that’s probably where I’ll go next, either new or lightly used.

Cadillacs are rear wheel drive, and I much prefer the feel and safety of FWD, especially in the rain. Cadillac's angular styling is a miss for me. Probably would get a Kia or Hyundai next time. They believe in their product and warranty it for five years.

They do have the RWD based AWD as an option on most of the sedans.
I totally get that you may not want the AWD fuel economy penalty. But sadly, the sedans are a dying breed in the makings from the automaker and the general public.
Even the Avalon bit the dust...

In order to play with the big boys like MB and BMW RWD was a must for Cadillac to be taken seriously. it is what it is.

Styling is subjective but I like the CT5 and especially the now defunct CT6. CT6 was AWD for any engine but the 2.0L.

If I had to buy a car now I would buy an Audi, who I have worked for part time for 8 years.

Opel is now owned by Stellantis. They are converting the Insignia into a crossover SUV. The Buick Regal is only being manufactured in Shenyang China.

Thanks
I knew GM sold Opel a few years ago, so GM is making Regal in China?

They’ve (GM) been making Regal in China for their market for years. They are Also still producing the laCrosse in China for Chinese market.

If the SUV thing here subsides and if the public doesn’t want electric cars, they can probably restart the Regal and Lacrosse in the US. Of course, they might be bankrupt by then…..

I doubt we’ll get that lucky. I think at best what we might have to look forward to are vehicles that fall in between a car and SUV - a tall sedan. The American standard sedan is dying, the coupe is on life support, the convertible and station wagon are dead. Maybe the Germans will save us something likable.

Wow I don't keep up with GM anymore, seems like it would have made more sense for GM to make Regals in China for US instead of paying someone else to make them. But then maybe was cheaper to go with Opel made ones.

We shall probably head over to Canada to score the C Class Wagon (a true wagon that is not jacked up) before that is gone too.

I think you're right. Along with other current things going on, I think it makes sense to buy-out our TourX lease, we really like the car, and we're way under on miles, . Thinking about an extended warranty then. Any suggestions?

I wonder what the dealer will say about the whole thing
