January 2022 - "Service Side Blind Zone Alert System " message began appearing when starting the car. I decided to wait til my next visit to my dealer (Aitken Motors) to deal with that.

February 6, 2022 - car would not start even though all lights were on. No crank, no indicator lights on start button. Ran windows up and down, popped truck lid, car finally started but began displaying additional service messages in addition to the side blind zone message. Drove for about 20 minutes and all went back to normal except SBZA.

February 10, 2022 - took to dealer. They reprogrammed ECM and advised it would be $1,200.00 to repair the left side sensor and cable. I declined as I can live without that and the possibility of the right side failing for another $1,200.00. All seemed to be OK as I left the dealer.

The next day it all started over. Car starts OK but DIC runs through multiple service and repair items for electrically operated functions. No power train messages appear.

More recently I have noticed the tach and speedometer go to zero and the heater shuts off each time a message appears. Then back to normal once cleared. This usually stops after driving for awhile but it is a bit unnerving as I fear it will just stop all together.

Additionally the DIC no longer illuminates when opening the driver's side door and the keyless entry buttons work sporadically and sometimes I have to use the key fob to open the car.

As of now, February 25, 2022, performance and fuel consumption appear to be normal.

Have any of the body control modules (BCMs) been checked? Some of your symptoms sound like a bad BCM or loose connections to it. How many miles are on the car?
