Buick Ownership
LeSabre
I have an 02 Buick LeSabre with 125,000 mi on it. At first I was having random misfires, code p0300. S ended up replacing the spark plugs. But they issue still occurred, turns out it was my mass air flow sensor and a small oxygen leak. I caught the parts fixed and there are perfectly fine.

As of recently, I started getting random misfires again, but with no code. Then all of a sudden my car starts to die while I was in park or at a stoplight. The misfires had gotten worse and ended up cutting off my car while I was driving it. Still no codes. I have replaced the idle control valve, throttle body sensor, and the upstream oxygen sensor. To cover my bases, but it didn't seem to fix the issue at all. Now there is a p0171, which covers all the parts I already fixed. Does anyone know what could be the problem?

My guess it's the maf again. If your bought one of those $12.99 specials then they suck. If your bought a AC Delco , Delphi or major store brand then more research and testing is needed.

No I got a Blue Streak. Im going to replace it again today, just to make sure. Because when I unplug the MAF the engine remained on. But what would cause the MAF to go bad constantly?

Quality control is the main reason. Even the good ones have issues. I did mine a few months apart. Mine was a Delphi which are known to be the good ones. The replacement Delphi is about 3 yrs old now.
