Hello everyone,
I am new to the Forum, and I am seeking some guidance on EPS repair/troubleshooting. This will be my first time tackling an EPS issue, so I really don't know where to start. I purchased a 2019 Buick Regal TourX Preferred that has been in an accident. The point of impact was at the passenger side Fender/Wheel/Door. When turning on the car I am met with a warning that reads "Service Power Steering Drive With Care." The steering is heavy and is clear that the EPS is not functioning. I have the following initial questions and any additional suggestions/advice is greatly appreciated!
1. Is there fuse unique to the EPS in either the passenger fuse box or engine fuse box compartments? The owner's manual does not state a fuse for "EPS," but maybe I am missing something or it goes by a different name.
2. Considering the point of impact to be at the passenger side fender, suggestions as to where/how to look for damage to the EPS?
3. What is the best way to get to the power steering assist motor and verify its functionality?
Thank you in advance!
