It’s probably fine I’ve never changed that on any of my vehiclesNo cracks @ all in my tires & I took a 300 mile highway trip @ 70 mph & it was as smooth as glass.I will switch out the Dexcool & tires as soon as I get 16 " Grand Touring Wheels .You think I should change the compressor oil too or with 22000 miles on the car is it ok for a while?
Thanks for your adult toddler crying. Let me know where you operate yourself and vehicle as I'd like to avoid you in general.Ok, drive tires that everyone including experts say are unsafe. Do nothing to the vehicle at this point just turn the key and head off down the highway as you apparently have already made up your mind on what to do. Please let us know where you operate this vehicle as I would like to avoid the area at all costs.
Damn that's nice.I sold these GTS wheels about 10-yrs ago with polished center caps with 90% tread on the tires for $350 & bought the Lucerne wheels with BFG T/A radials with the same amount or tread for $450. I think that was worth the $100 upgrade!

Not to start a bun fight here I took the Buick to 2 respected tire shops & both said despite the age the uncracked original "Gold Seal" tires were still useable & they would just drive them which I have done without issue for 2700 kilometers .Now that I have the 16 " GTS wheels they will be replaced.Sure thing, but the next time you are sitting in your vehicle on 90/94 highway for over a hour and half waiting for a family to be airlifted out because a idiot owner figured that they could operate a unsafe vehicle maybe you may have a more mature view.

Now GTFU sonny.
I too, have had a blowout. My case, the tires were only getting to the age where It would be wise to think about it come next spring kinda thing, and, well, the condition was midlife, yet, I had a blow out. Lost that car because of the damage and got a scar on my face from kissing an airbag. My tires had plenty of tread and no cracking on the sidewalk but they were six years old so I treated the car to a new set of Contis. I’ve had a blowout from old tires before and flats so why take chances? Glad you’re getting new tires.👌
Maybe because tires are not a component in any suspension. What the hell are you talking about?Tires are the weakest component in any suspension. Period. Raquel Welch still looks good from a distance, but I doubt she has the the same performance specs she had in 197
Tires are a component of the suspension. Look it up. Hope the below expands your mind.Maybe because tires are not a component in any suspension. What the hell are you talking about?
Thanks for advise.I noticed this issue on the internet & wondered if the Dorman elbows now have good "o" rings supplied or what should be used instead so no leaks after replacement.?1996 was the first year for the Series II? I would preemptively replace the plastic cooling elbows around the alternator bracket with aftermarket aluminum ones such as those made by Dorman Help! found in most auto parts stores.
