"The Dreamer" 2003 LeSabre Limited

Good Evening LeSabre fans,

I looked around and analyzed the headliner, I noticed that the bubbles are starting to affect all edges and corners. So instead of trying to fix them I looked out for service to replace the entire headliner. It will be approximately 300 dollars so got that planned for end of August.

Now I also ordered oil pressure sender and socket for it. Since it will be my first oil change, what brand of oil should I use, and what filter as well that will do the job exceptionally, any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

Wix XP filter, depending on synthetic Mobil 1 is a good default on regular see the chart on API ratings and match the oil to those specs.

Lots of posts already on the subject on what to use, search the forums for additional information.

Had my car headliner done today, he did a great job today! Did far better than factory, by wrapping around edges!! Highly recommend for your saggy headliners in Nashville, TN!!

also Wix XP is their cheap line

That is a nice looking headliner on your "Dreamer" Limited by Buick!

Just like a new pair of shoes ... watch out for that first scuff!

Be extra careful moving large objects into and around the car interior. Even if you are just reaching around behind you with something large in your hand ... be careful.

Not sure on the XP being the cheaper as the regular WIX is less expensive. Maybe I'm missing something here.

Laboratory Test Performance per ISO 454812 18 grams dirt (WIX 51515), 99% efficient at 23 microns (Based on WIX 51515, WIX 51356, WIX 57060). Oil Filter Laboratory Test Performance per ISO 454812 32 grams dirt (51515XP), 99% efficient at 35 microns (Based on 51515XP 51356XP, 57060XP)
Wix XP is their Long Oil Change Interval filter, so it gives up a bit but it can go 10k etc etc. I gues if you change your oil like me, wix regular is best. because i prefer the better filter since I will never exceed the range of the wix normal lol

Cheaper vs less efficient, different meaning but thanks for posting the data as always. It was a question on using synthetic so assuming it's a 5-7K change so the XP may be a better, owners choice.

Since my headliner was replaced, it made both sun visors look DIRTY. I am looking for a way to have them serviced, I tried to look for service in google, and got mixed results. Suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

Figure out the part number and replace them, or buy a decent carpet cleaner with upholstery attachment.

if I had intervals that long, i would probably still use original. but, if I didnt know the engine or was just very high mileage, i would probably consider it. If the cost saving is appealing enough, nAPa gold is based on one of them, not sure which, and are cheaper yet. But at that micron ratings, the filters are still outperforming most competitors so that shouldnt be overlooked either lol

definitely be careful cleaning them since suction may rip the fabric off them.. I would say how dirty? if enough, get a junkyard clean set. a visor can be reupolstered but its a lot of work to do it right to my understanding

Do 2003 Buick LeSabre Limited come with that edge pad thing? If not, I will remove it sticking to as original as possible. Thanks!

No, not unless the dealer added them as part of an optional chrome package.

Thanks and appreciate your feedback!

Doesn't look original to me. Notice how the chrome is going underneath your side trim and pushing it out. Whoever did this could have, at least, spliced it to not do that. I noticed, the chrome from your previous pics, that the fronts had chrome and the backs didn't. Nice car though. The color is great.
