Hello everybody,i'm new here and i have a problem with my 425ci Nailhead. My lifters rattle very hard either cold or hot.I read online it could be related to the cam bearing because my oil pressure is fine.I also read about the upgraded cam bearing from TA performance with a double groove but it seems it isn't available for a 425 nailhead...Anyone here had this problem, what should be my next step? Thanks in advance for leading me to the light on this.

Exactly what oil are you using? Most modern oils are not intended for flat tappet cam engines.

i use 20W50 classic Kroon oil

Are you sure all the lifters are rattling? You could just have some worn/broken rocker arm tips. Take the valve covers off. Run the engine and make sure oil is getting up there. Then look at the rocker arm tips and push rods. Check for damage.

What oil do you recommend?
The thinnest oil that gives you sufficient hot oil pressure. Thick oil takes longer to circulate, and is harder to pump. That wastes energy in the form of pumping losses, and is harder on the oil pump drive.
