Buick Ownership
Buick Encore GX 2021
My 2021 GX included the winter package that came with the All Weather Floor Mats. They are very durable and easier to clean than weathertech. I'm interested in the matching OEM cargo liners. I'm curious about the one that attaches to the back seats but we utilize the cargo floor in the lower position so I'm not sure if the one that attaches to the back see would work. Also I'm assuming that they would install with 8 screws! I don't want to screw them in and have to unscrew to remove and clean them.

Does anyone have one of these cargo liners and any insight on the articulating one? Any comments appreciated

Yes I do
used some of my reward points and a small amount with it to get it on my new 2022 gx
it's nice I think as good as the weather tech and has the buick logo.
one thing to keep in mind is too install it you have to drill in to the back seats and use a push clips not screws and you will have to pull them up to remove it
I did not know that till I had it ,that being said I would buy again

Thanks for the information about the clips. Will the cargo liner that attaches to the back seats still work if I have the cargo floor in the lower position? (If you look closely at the pictures I posted on the original post, the cargo liner without the back seat is in the lower position)

I did not know the cargo floor was adjustable till you ask .
I took delivery of the car on the 2 of December and just installed the mat this week .
I will have to look at this floor but the bottom does not fasten down only the back of seat does and I don't think it will be a problem for it to go down

Hi!

The cargo liner is great! However, it doesn’t work with the cargo floor in low position. At least I couldn’t figure it out! Lol

I ordered the version that does not cover the backs of the seats. Been about a month now. Don't know when my dealer may get it.

I chose to get a credit for Buick AW mats and went with Weather Tech for front seats/cargo liners.

I found a seller on eBay that sold the OEM for 97.99 + tax and Free shipping.
Arrived in 2 days

I got the one that didn't attach to the back seat and it compliments the cold weather package floor mats perfectly!

There is an easy way to install the clips for the back of the seats.
I "slightly" pulled back the carpeting from the back of the seats to make the holes where the clips would go. Once you have them prepped and ready to go then reinstall the seat back carpet and with the holes cut then you can instal the clips. No worries if you cut the holes a bit much. It all gets covered when you put it back together. :banghead::cheers:

I bought another brand that mimics the look and feel of Weathertech. It was less than 50% the cost of a new Weathertech unit. It did come in two sizes, which seemed amiss until I finally found out the floor panel in back adjusts. Two settings low and high. I bought the unit for high setting which also covers a small area on left side pocket.

I have many different versions between all the cars and trucks, and do not find a big difference, it comes down to cost, as all protect well.

I did get the OEM Buick VInyl mats for front and rear passengers. They clean up quickly, and appear to be vinyl/rubber mix. They look stylish with Buick emblazoned on them. Make the stainless steel pedals stand out on drivers side, but likely more about the interior being ebony. You can find them on Ebay much cheaper than list thru dealer, even with rewards points.

Drill? The instructions say to use an "awl punch". I've purchased this same mat for my new 2023 Encore Gx, but I'm torn as to whether or not I should attempt this on my own (i.e. putting holes in the back of a brand new car), or paying the $75 dealer installation fee (and having it done right).
