Buick Ownership
2014 Encore Leather trim
Hello,

I have a 2014 Buick Encore leather trim.

Today for the first time since I purchased the vehicle new, I opened the driver side door after parking and the chime went off and wouldn’t stop until I closed the door. The alarm would not arm when I pressed the fob (I could not lock or open the doors with the fob). And the dash top alarm light was not flashing as it normally does when locked (I had to lock the car using the key). The alarm is therefore not arming.

I have replaced the batteries in both of my fobs and still nothing. I’ve checked the manual and nothing stated there works.

The car runs fine and normal but I just don’t know what’s wrong with the alarm.

Is there anyone with a similar situation and resolution?

Thanks

PS… Apologies in advance if this is not the right forum for this question.

Isn't the problem really your FOBs or the receiver?
Does the FOB have remote start and if so does it work?

I don’t think it’s a fob issue—they both stopped working today. The fobs do have remote start; however, that doesn’t work because I need to lock the door with the fob first and that doesn’t work. The panic button doesn’t work either. 😔

Sorry…What is the receiver?

The devices in the car that pick up the signal from the FOB.
