Here is a diagram and a site that will help on location of the actuators.

Nice. I stumbled across this because of my own '08 Lucerne.

I'm guessing I have to replace part #5, since I now have air weakly coming out of basically everywhere. Is this something where the dash has to come off, though?

Unfortunately the HVAC unit is difficult to work on most parts and I can't recall if this is available with the dashboard removed. I had mine off for the sat antenna but didn't examine the area on other components at the time.

Thanks.

I'll see if I can find something about it. Almost everywhere I look for Lucerne HVAC stuff, they are talking about the electronic dual-zone option. I have the old-fashioned dials the affect everyone.

Additional diagrams, but between the dual zone and basic very little difference between the two on the overall system design.

There's older posts where a owner had most of the dashboard removed, forgot if it was heater or AC, but may be worth a search.

#5 is actually for the Recirculation door; you actually need to replace #14.

Good luck. I couldn't get to my actuator but discovered if you pull the connection from it the system defaults to defrost....and that's where it's stayed. Feet a lil cold in the very very cold weather but not bad. A/C blows strong through those side defrost vents enough to keep you cool.

I have the exact same problem, on my 2008 Lucerne. But I can't get the glove box out to even see this actuator. How did you get to yours?

Which actuator plug did you pull?

I pulled the temperature control and the recirculation I believe. One was on the far right side and the other was in the middle but way back. I'm wondering if there is a something else that could be wrong because I had thought when those are unplugged it should go to defrost and it didn't.

Boy, I got the mode actuator out of mine but it took forever and freekin sucked ass. Then of course the one I ordered was the one opposite of the mode actuator so I just screw it and left it on defrost. I’ll probably never attempt it again tbh lol
