I am thinking of a muffler delete, gonna get the rest of the piping so it ain't short of course, wanna know if it'll cause ANY issues mechanically, and overall opinions on it.

As long as you leave the converter in the system it will only gain you noise.

Do they require emissions testing where you live? Here in New York cars that are 25 years old are exempt from emissions testing. You could eliminate the Cat as well or take it off and "gut" it if they put it on a lift where they could see a physical Cat in place.

The car turns 25 years old this year, funnily enough, the state only cares about commercial vehicles' emissions.

If you like noise then a straight pipe sounds like the way to go.

well that's illegal though here :<
and also I don't have the needed tools, and there's no exhaust shop

also just read that muffler delete is also illegal, oh well guess straight pipe it is (when possible)
...so gut the Cat and replace the stock muffler with a glass pack muffler or a chambered muffler like a Flowmaster 40.😉
