PC Valve part of valve cover. PCV system sucking vacuum / whistling

This has just happen to my '18 (30K miles). What was the result? Was it covered?

I am experiencing same with same and 47k miles. Note the PC Valve is integrated with the valve cover. It is very unorthodox location / method and creates substantial additional labor costs. Foolish design really. I am curious how frequently this occurs. Researching further, hope GM may address.

I am having same problem i have a 2018 cascada with 31k miles. I did file a report with the national highway safety so they would have a record.
Makes no sense they have special warranty for 2016 and 2019 cascadas for pcv camshaft cover but not for 2017 and 2018! It is the identical part and the car was only made for 4 years!!

Yes I have this very issue at 62,000 miles. Buick extended a warranty to 2016 for 15yrs 150.000 miles. My vehicle is at the dealer as we speak. I encourage everyone who is having a problem the PCV to go to NHTSA website and make complaint. This will prompt investigation and possibly recall or extended warranty for this issue. It is a known problem with many of GM cars and as of it they failed to recall. The Positive crankcase diaphragm develops a crack causing a vacuum and then the seals get blown out. Dealer is wanting $2700 bucks to fix. Buick should stand behind their product.

Everyone who is having a problem with the PCV = Positive crankcase ventilation system which is a crack in the diaphragm which causes a vacuum leak in the Camm causing the seals to blow need to file a complaint with the NHTSA. There is a class action lawsuit for the 2016 Cascada with the same problem. Buick extended a 15yr 150,000 miles to this vehicle year. The more complaints that get file, a recall or extended warranty maybe granted to your vehicle year. It just takes a few minutes to file. If you had work orders / estimates you can attach them as well.
I was driving 70 mph when I had a decrease in power and loud whistle or whining sound began. I filed my complaint and the reply email said.

Your complaint will be reviewed by NHTSA technical staff and entered into our database. If any additional information is needed, a NHTSA investigator will contact you.

Every complaint is taken seriously, reviewed in detail and analyzed for defects trends. Your complaint is important because it helps to inform NHTSA, other vehicle owners and manufacturers about potential safety concerns. Such information helps save lives, and we encourage you to share the resources available at NHTSA.gov with your family, friends and others in your community.

Will my vehicle be recalled?
