Buick Ownership
1967 Skylark
Hello everyone. I have a 1967 Buick skylark factory A/C that I am fixing up. To start off, I do not care if the car is all original or numbers matching. This will be a driver not show car. I was wanting to get opinions on either rebuilding my factory A/C or replace it with a Vintange Air style system ? I want it to be as reliable as possible and will be using R134A refrigerant. The car has a 455 engine TH400 trans. I will convert it to the newer style compressor also. I would like to get advise from people that have rebuilt their original A/C system and people that have used vintage Air/ newer systems ect... Thank you

You should be looking at Vintage if you don't care about originality.
