Buick Ownership
2011 Lacrosse CXS
Hi everybody! New to the forum from Northeast Pennsylvania and just wanted to say "hi". I recently purchases my first Buick since my first marriage back in 1984.....but we won't talk about that! 😉 My new used Buick is a 2011 Lacrosse CXS with some issues. I bought it as a bit of a project, although to look at it, you might think it just came off the showroom floor. I absolutely love the car. Unfortunately, it has some water issues and some electrical issues, but I'll save those details for another forum. I'm a person who is both mechanically and electrically inclined who enjoys a good challenge, so when I saw this car at about a third of typical private sale value, I couldn't resist! I look forward to getting advice on the project from the group. However, for now, I just wanted to introduce myself to all of my fellow Buick owners and enthusiasts. Greetings All!

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. I'm glad you found us! Congratulations on your new Buick LaCrosse. I hope you'll keep us posted on your project.

Just wanted to follow up on my project. My new Larosse CXS is now road worthy! I tracked down the electrical problems to a cut wire in an interior harness (not sure how that happens!), a defective pin on an electrical connector (again, not sure how this happened either!), some rodent damage, and a defective ABS controller. (Yes, all of that took quite a while, but I managed to pull it off!) The water issue was a windshield installation error by SafeLite for the previous owner and a loose boot where the door wiring enters the cabin. All fixed and ready to drive dry and in style!

Nice car!

Congratulations on the successful solutions. We all know it takes longer to find the problems than to repair them.

Enjoy your new ride and be sure to share your answers in the appropriate thread so others can be helped.
