Steering wheel buttons

I never go out at night but with family visiting this week we've been going out for dinner and I noticed that the steering wheel buttons weren't illuminated. I remember they illuminated on my 98 LeSabre . Are the buttons on the 2001 Park Avenue supposed to illuminate at night ?

Yes, they should be illuminated. I suppose after 26-yrs they have all failed.
