How to change air filters

cabin air filter: open glove box and while squeezing the sides together, pop the 2 plastic posts on either side of the box out of the holes they sit in. The glove box will drop down some more giving access to the cabin filter cover. This was hard to do for me, you have to do one side at a time and it needed a good amount of muscle power.
Behind the glove box is a rectangular cover for the cabin air filter, pop it off by pushing IN on the tabs on the ends.
Remove cover, use a little hook shaped thing to pull out the filter. No need to describe installing new filter, make sure you get airflow direction correct, as shown by an arrow on the filter which should point down when installed.
Engine air filer: remove the Phillips screws on the cover which is on the passenger side of the engine compartment and don't drop or lose them. Lift up the cover and pull out the old filter.

Not that easy. On a 2021 anyway. Lid will not come off unless you remove some wiring attached to it, A mechanic told me that disconnecting a connection there will likely cause a check engine light that might need to be cleared afterwards. There is a zip tie on one wire that should be cut, then replaced after the filter change. Those screws that hold the cover do not need to be completely removed. They are "captive screws" and after loosening them, they will stay with the lid upon removal. The connection is hard to remove. There is a small tab there that must be pushed in to open the connector.
