I have a 2017 Encore with the 1.4 Ecotec. The oil dipstick has a tip that looks like solder or lead and is apparently crimped onto the end of the flat steel portion of the dipstick. Who has encountered the problem with the tip coming off and ending up in the oil pan?

I’ve feared this but haven’t heard anyone have it happen so I searched the Cruzetalk forum, nothing. The dipsticks are so poorly over designed!. Cruzetalk.com has much more info just a heads up. A guy there came up with a pcv permanent fix kit that ends the blown out diaphragms!
